(NEW YORK) – DJ/producer and remix master Boddhi Satva takes pride in weaving an intricate tapestry of rhythms to create what he calls “Ancestral Soul.” In 2007, he launched Offering Records as a boundary-defying springboard for aspiring singers and producers from around the world who share Satva’s vision of a richly diverse musical landscape.
Upcoming independent artist Ade Alafia, who now lives in Amsterdam, joins Satva on The Quest (Main Mix) for a lush, epic track that embodies the spirit of universal truth. “I’m thankful for being part of something that can make a difference,” Alafia explains. “My special focus is women empowerment and children … without Mama Afrika/Universe, we won’t be here on this plane therefore I give ode to our mothers. I support them so they can enrich us all with love, nurture, empowerment and embrace … all mankind.”
The Quest (Main Mix) opens gradually with a powerful vocal introduction and rises to the beat of complex, steady drumming and instrumentals. “I’m a conduit of light, love, tranquility called Alafia,” the Nigerian singer says. “I do vocals, djembe/skin drums and wooden xylophone … I create masterpieces if the synergy is excellent.” Listeners will immediately respond to the strength and clarity of Alafia’s voice as it surrounds this melodic track, evoking powerful feelings of connectedness with the music and movement. “I believe … in love, life, family, community, nature, arts and culture, but most of all, people,” Alafia says.
Grammy award-winning producer and house music impresario Louie Vega recognized excellence in Satva’s skills, releasing Satva’s debut album, Invocation, earlier this year on Vega Records. Vega also handpicked Satva, who is originally from the Central African Republic, to be an elite producer for Vega Records and a resident of Vega DJ tours.
